MatchPub Privacy Policy
MatchPub is a website where you meet one person at a time by video, voice or text, and follow the people you want to talk to again. Making that work takes some information: a session so the service can tell you apart from everyone else, a way to deliver messages to the people you follow, a record of coins you buy. This page lists what we collect, why, and what you can ask us to change. Questions go to [email protected].

Everyone who opens matchpub.cam, whether you arrived a minute ago as a guest or have used the site for months, in a browser tab or from an icon on your home screen. A guest session is created on your first visit because a match can’t be made without one, so this policy applies from that first page.
“We”, “us” and “MatchPub” here mean the people who operate matchpub.cam.
Video and audio travel between the two people in a match so that each of you can see or hear the other. We don’t ask you to upload them and we don’t sell them. If you report a user, the details of that report are kept so it can be looked at.
Some jobs are done by service providers working for us: hosting, real-time video and audio delivery, payment processing, analytics and email. They receive only what they need for their task and may not use it for their own purposes.
We may share information when the law requires it, to protect someone from harm, or if the service changes hands or is restructured, in which case this policy continues to apply. We don’t sell personal information.
People you match with see whatever your camera shows on Video, hear you on Audio and read what you type on Text. Your profile, including any photo or display name you add, is visible to people who open it from the online list, a follow list or a message thread. Following someone puts them in your follow list; it doesn’t share your contact details.
Account information stays while your account exists. Messages stay so both people in a conversation can read them. Purchase records are kept for the period accounting and tax law sets. Technical logs are cleared out or anonymised after a limited period. When you ask us to delete your account, we remove or anonymise what we hold, apart from records we must keep by law.
Depending on where you live, you may have further rights, such as objecting to certain processing or complaining to a data protection authority. We’ll answer requests within the time your local law sets.
MatchPub is only for people 18 and over. We don’t knowingly hold data about anyone under that age. If you think a minor is using the service, report the profile or write to us and we will act on it.
When this policy changes, the date at the top changes too. If a change is significant, we’ll make it visible on the site before it takes effect. Using MatchPub from then on means the updated policy applies to you.
