A short set of rules for everyone on MatchPub, in every mode. Most of them come down to treating the person across from you the way you’d want to be treated.

What’s the one rule behind all the others?
Treat the person on the other side like someone you’d like to meet again. Everything below follows from that. MatchPub is built so good conversations can continue through follow and messages, and that only works if people feel comfortable coming back. Most of the rules are simply what decent people already do.
These guidelines apply everywhere on MatchPub: random matches on Video, Audio and Text, messages, profiles, calls from a profile and comments on the Live tab. Breaking them can get a conversation reported and an account limited or closed.
Why shouldn’t you ask for contact details or photos?
Because nobody needs them to keep talking here, and asking puts pressure on someone you met minutes ago. Don’t ask for phone numbers, social accounts, addresses, workplaces or photos. Follow and profile messages exist so nobody has to hand those over. If someone offers details on their own, that’s their choice.
The same goes for asking someone to switch their camera on when they chose Audio or Text. Their mode is their decision.
Accept no the first time
A no can look like many things on MatchPub, and every one of them counts. Someone ending the conversation with Next is a no. Someone switching to short replies is usually a no. A follow that isn’t returned is a no for now, and that’s fine.
If someone says no, taps Next, doesn’t follow back or doesn’t answer a message, leave it there. Don’t follow up repeatedly, don’t message them from another account, and don’t try to find them through other means.
Don’t pull people to other platforms or send links
Don’t push people to move the conversation to another app, and don’t send links of any kind. Links from strangers are one of the most common ways people get scammed, and requests to “continue somewhere else” are often the first step. Promoting other services, selling things or advertising isn’t allowed either.
If you genuinely get on with someone, there’s no need to move anywhere. Follow them, keep talking in messages, and call from their profile when you’re both around. That keeps both of you protected by the same rules and the same Report and Block buttons.
Keep it clean and kind
Flirting is fine when it’s mutual. Sexual content, nudity, explicit requests, hate speech, threats, harassment and violence aren’t, in any mode. Neither is mocking someone’s appearance, accent or background. If a conversation isn’t working, tap Next rather than saying something cruel on the way out.
The same standard applies on the Live tab. Comments in a live room are visible to everyone watching, so keep them friendly, and don’t use a room to ask the person who’s live for contact details or money.
No sexual content or nudity, on camera, in messages or in profile photos.
No harassment or hate, including slurs, insults and threats.
No asking for money, gifts, gift cards, crypto or payment details.
No impersonation, fake ages or other people’s photos.
No recording or sharing other people’s video, voice or messages without their permission.
Don’t use scripts or automated tools to message, match or follow people.
How do you report someone who breaks the rules?
Open their profile and tap Report, then pick the reason. You can also tap Block if you don’t want to hear from them again. Reports are kept with their details so they can be looked at, and accounts that break these guidelines can be warned, limited, suspended or closed, as the terms of service describe.
For anything the Report button can’t capture, email [email protected] with what happened and when. The contact page explains which details help.
Why do these rules matter here?
Because MatchPub is built around the second conversation. A random chat with no memory can survive a few bad actors; a place where people follow each other and come back can’t, if those people don’t feel safe returning. Every rule here protects the thing that makes MatchPub useful.
The safety page covers your side of it: what to keep to yourself, how to check your camera background and what to do with money requests. The about page explains why MatchPub works one person at a time, and the MatchPub home page has the overview.
